The main activity of our company is the design, manufacture, on-site installation and maintenance of liquid storage tanks.
The tanks we deliver are usually above ground, cylindrical, atmospherically operated, galvanised, bolted steel constructions, equipped with watertight EPDM or PVC liners. During manufacturing each steel plates receives a hot-dip galvanised (=anti-corrosion) surface protection that ensures long service periods for our tanks. For installation we require a simple load-bearing concrete foundation only.
Thanks to our hydraulic jack installation technology our tanks can be erected quickly and safely from the ground level minimising high elevation work safety risks. Due to our simple assembly technology, our tanks can be disassembled, transported and reinstalled at any other location with appropriate foundation.
Countless industries use above-ground stationary cylindrical liquid storage tanks for water and media storage. To mention the most obvious arguments: compared to underground tanks, they are significantly more cost-effective (no underground construction costs), the installation time is faster, maintenance is simpler, they offer better controllability, since it is easier to discover any malfunction and they are also more accessible in terms of maintenance. Not forgetting they are also more durable.
Thanks to the versatile use of EPDM and PVC waterproof linings, our tanks are suitable for storing almost any liquid (except for hydro-carbons). Common applications are fire water, drinking water, thermal water, waste water, agricultural and industrial process, raw water usage but we can also store many other liquid media. If the composition of the liquid is known please contact our office so that we can help to check whether we can provide a solution for the liquid or medium you want to store!
Our tanks are made with two-sided galvanised steel surface protection (EN10326 300g/m²), but if required, it is also possible to deliver a different, higher surface protection. If we have to meet outdoor aesthetic requirements, we can also supply a powder-coated version according to RAL colour code standards. This is of course an additional service, but from an aesthetic point of view, it is a much more pleasing solution, and it only extends delivery times by a few (1-2 weeks) only.
Certain activities – such can be e.g. industrial, thermal and waste water storage – may require higher corrosion protection, in these cases we recommend more durable powder coating or glass coated tanks. The surface protection of these solutions provide higher – up to 500g/m² per side – corrosion-resistant layer thickness, which already results in app. three times the design life. During the glass coated surface protection, all tank plates got through a special quality control process (ISO1586-1-3) which ensures an exceptionally long service life.
Our company is committed to superior high-quality solutions, therefore it is essential to us that we keep developing, innovating and constantly search for industry best, innovative solutions. Alongside with this approach we regularly have quality and process checks, if necessary we are ready to make changes, looking for new, more reliable, durable technical solutions.
Sprinkler tanks store property and life savings extinguishing agent so they must be designed, constructed, installed and put into operation acc. to special standards and often alongside international insurance requirements. If someone fails to comply with these requirements the insurance premium discount can be at risk therefore it is particularly important for us to have the necessary approvals and be aware of relevant insurance rules and standards.
For our customers who want to have a remote tank monitoring system installed, it is possible to use IoT digital indicators, which can be monitored remotely using our VBenz application developed for this purpose. What the system is capable of? Continuous content level display (with historical logging), basic tank data and photo registration, various alarm modes, alert messages: low and high filling indication, critical tank flow detection, liquid level temperature measurement…etc. Permanent access to such monitoring system solution is subject to a subscription fee, for which we suggest a phone or personal consultation prior offer with our colleagues. If there is a need for remote level controlling we can also help with electric operated, remote controlled filling valve solutions.
Normal operation routines and relevant standards also require periodic maintenance for liquid storage tanks. This for example in connection with sprinkler tanks – can be only carried out by a contractor with special fire protection license. If there is an unknown degree of contamination in the tank, possibly a foreign substance or a greater degree of corrosion than usual, a professional on-site inspection may be necessary. In this case, the usual method is often to empty the tank, but this may trigger production downtime and fire protection risks that can be only mitigated by standby fire department services only. In order to reduce costs (drain and filling of tanks, production downtime) we are available with a modern underwater drone solution. Upon order we provide an inspection report, share photo and video files about our investigation and findings with recommended actions.
